Winter is a productive time for gardening since the cooler temperatures make it comfortable enough to work outside all day, if you want to that is! As more gardeners get out in their yards there is usually an increase in the number of questions we get.

Answering questions can be fairly simple unless the question is about something they are looking at and trying to describe. Often we aren’t sure what it is that they are describing since we can’t see what they are looking at. To help out with those hard to answer questions or any gardening question you may have I am going to give you a list of all of the Master Gardener Clinics that we have throughout the county just about every week. (Some of these clinics close during the summer and around Christmas.)

Master Gardener Clinics are wonderful because our Master Gardeners are there weekly to answer your questions, identify your plants or maybe help you with a bug problem. They are at the clinics waiting for you to come in with whatever question you may have. So, you can bring your mystery plant or bug to the clinic nearest you for a Master Gardener to look at. Here is a list of all of the clinics with their location, day, and time.

The Central Brevard Public Library at 308 Forrest Ave. in Cocoa has a Master Gardener Clinic every Sunday from 1-3 p.m. The phone number for the library is 633-1792.

Our newest Master Gardener Clinic is held at the Port St. John Library at 6500 Carole Ave. on Mondays from 10 a.m. until noon. The phone number for the library is 633-1867.

The Titusville Library at 2121 S. Hopkins Ave. in Titusville has a Master Gardener Clinic every Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon. The phone number for the library is 264-5026.

The Merritt Island Public Library at 1195 N. Courtenay Parkway on Merritt Island has a Master Gardener Clinic on Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. The phone number for the library is 455-1369.

The Satellite Beach Library at 751 Jamaica Blvd. has a Master Gardener Clinic every Wednesday from 10 a.m. until noon. The phone number for the library is 779-4004.

The Front Street Civic Center on Front Street in Melbourne is another location of a Master Gardener Clinic that is held on Thursdays from 10 a.m. until noon. The number to call for information is 674-5722.

Two other Master Gardener Clinics are held at our Palm Bay office at 1455 Treeland Blvd SE. There is a Tuesday clinic from 9 a.m. until noon and another one on Thursday from 1-3 p.m. Their phone number is 952-4536.

At the Patrick Air Force Base in the BX lobby is another Master Gardener Clinic that is held on Friday mornings from 10 a.m. until noon. For information on any clinic closings call 799-1300 ext. 124.

Another Master Gardener Clinic is held at the Eau Gallie Library at 152 Pineapple Ave. on Friday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. The phone number for the library is 255-4304.

You may want to keep this list handy so that if something comes up you will know where to go. Plus, you might have a friend that doesn’t know about these clinics so, pass this information on!
